To allow for full flexibility, Repair Pilot give you the option to assign a full job to one person – this could be as the job manager, or as the person who is actually going to be carrying out the work. You can also assign each individual repair to different staff members if you need to. For example, we have a job booked in for a general service of an item, and the a quality control check. Jane might be managing the job as a whole, but John may be carrying out the service, followed by Christine doing the QC. Repair Pilot allows you to be as broad or as granular as you like when it comes to job assignment, allowing you to ensure it ties in with your current workflows.
Check out the guide below to see how you can assign jobs and individual repairs.
Assign a Job at Check In #
The first place you can assign a job is when it is first booked in. On the check in screen, you can select the staff member to be assigned to the job.

Assign a Job via the Job Screen #
You can also set the staff member assigned to a job via the job screen. Simply find and open the job you wish to update, and change the Assigned To option in the top part of the screen.

Assign Individual Repairs #
A single job can have multiple different repairs on it, for example, a broken screen and virus removal, or a service and a polish. These repairs may be carried out by different technicians in your business, so being able to assign these individually is very important. You can do this via the Repair Assignments tab on the job screen.

Assign Individual Repairs #
Here, you will see a breakdown of each individual repair on that job. Simply select who the repair is to be assigned to. You can also select the status and a start and due by date for each repair as well as the date it was completed. This is really useful for hierarchical repairs, where one needs to be done before another.
