Run configured actions, such as sending an email, when a job reaches a selected status.
Before you start #
- Decide which job status should start the action.
- Set up the automation and its message or action in Settings before relying on it.
Choose the status for the job #
When creating a job, select the status that should start the configured automation. Creating a job directly in that status can trigger the automation.
Set up the matching automation #
In Settings, configure the automation to run when a job enters the chosen status. Add the action you need, such as an email, and check its recipient and message settings.
Create the job or change its status #
Save a new job in the selected status, or move an existing job into it. The configured automation can run when the job enters that status.
What happens next #
Repair Pilot checks the job status against your automation settings. The action runs according to the rule you configured. If no action runs, check that the automation is active and that its selected status matches the job’s status.
Common questions #
Can I trigger an automation when I first create a job?
Yes. Creating a job in the selected status can trigger its configured automation.
Can I trigger it by changing an existing job’s status?
Yes. Moving a job into the selected status can trigger the automation.
Will an email send if I only choose a status?
The action must also be configured in Settings. Choosing the status alone does not create an email automation.
