# Reporting on item types and brands

Use the Item Type and Brands reports to see which kinds of items and brands appear in jobs during a selected period.

## Before you start

- Choose the question you want the report to answer and the period you want to review.
- Report figures depend on the jobs and records saved in Repair Pilot for that period.

 1

### Open the report

Select **Reports** in the main navigation and open **Item Type Report** or **Brands Report** under Customers & Trends.

 2

### Choose the date range

Use the period selector at the top of the report. Select a preset period or choose a custom range.

 3

### Review the results

Read the report charts and tables to compare item categories or brands in jobs booked during the selected period. Use **About this report** when available to check how the figures are calculated.

## What happens next

Repair Pilot updates the report to show data for the selected period. Check the dates shown on screen before comparing or sharing results.
