# How to report a bug or contact support

## Before you start

Before reporting an issue, note the page, the action you took and what you expected to happen. Do not include customer-sensitive information unless support asks for it through an appropriate channel.

  1

### Capture the problem

Write down the steps that lead to the issue and any on-screen error text.

    2

### Check whether it repeats

If safe, try the same steps once more. Note whether the issue happens consistently or only once.

    3

### Open Repair Pilot support

Use the Support option in Repair Pilot to find the available contact route.

    4

### Send useful context

Include the affected page, approximate time, browser and version, and the steps to reproduce the issue. Attach a screenshot only if it does not expose customer or payment details.

## What happens next

Support can use the reproduction steps and page details to investigate the issue.

## Common questions

**Should I include customer details?**
Avoid including personal customer information unless support requests it through an appropriate channel.

**What if the issue blocks my work?**
Mention that it is blocking work and include the steps that reproduce it.
