# How to create a worksheet

## Before you start

Worksheet templates are managed in Settings → Worksheets. Worksheet field edits and ordering save separately from display options.

  1

### Open Worksheets settings

Go to **Settings → Worksheets** and choose the option to add a worksheet.

    2

### Name the worksheet

Enter a clear Worksheet Name. Select **Internal Only** if the worksheet is for internal staff use.

    3

### Set display options

Choose whether the worksheet shows its header, customer details, item details and job details. Expand each section for additional options.

    4

### Add the fields staff will complete

Use **Add a Worksheet Field**. Set its label and type, add optional instructions, configure options for a dropdown, and mark it required if needed. Save each field.

    5

### Arrange and save

Arrange the fields in the required order. Save the worksheet to apply the display options. The editor notes that field edits and ordering save separately.

## What happens next

The saved worksheet can be selected from a job’s Worksheets tab and attached to the job.

## Common questions

**Can the worksheet be internal?**
Yes. Use the Internal Only setting on the worksheet.

**What field types are supported?**
Textbox, TextArea, Checkbox, Dropdown / Select and Date.
