# Add store locations

Add a store or workshop location so your team can organise work by location and maintain the details for each site.

## Before you start

- Use an account with permission to manage company and store settings.
- Have the location’s name, contact details and company assignment ready.
- For one company with several locations, open Settings → Company Details & Defaults. Under Other Settings → Multiple Company/Store Setup, enable Multi-Store Options and select Save Company. If you have separate companies with their own stores, review Multi-Company Options as well.

Available settings can vary with your permissions and account configuration. Complete fields marked with an asterisk (*).

 1

### Open Stores

Open your profile menu in the top-right corner and select **Settings**. Under **Business & Stores**, choose **Stores**.

2

### Add the location

Select **Add Store**. In the panel that opens, enter the **Store Name**. Choose a **Brand / Trading Name** if applicable, and use **Click to change your logo** if the location needs a logo.

Enter the location details in the panel. Scroll within it to reach the remaining sections.

3

### Complete contact and local settings

Under **Contact**, enter the phone number, full address, postcode, country, email address and website as needed.

Under **Local Settings**, select the **Company** the store belongs to, and review its currency, timezone and language.

4

### Add location-specific notes

Use **Financial Notes** for a disclaimer, payment terms or payment details specific to this location. Add a **Store Reference** if your team uses a short internal identifier.

5

### Save and review staff access

Select **Save Store**, then check the location in the stores list. Correct any validation messages if the form does not save.

To review who can access the location, go to **Settings → Users** and open the relevant staff account. Check **Assigned Stores**, the default assigned store and the user’s access role.

**Store access:** the user form states that leaving Assigned Stores blank allows access to all stores. Select specific stores when access should be limited; also review any company or group assignments in your account.

## What happens next

The saved location appears in the stores list. Review its details and staff assignments before your team starts using it. When booking work, check the selected store is appropriate for the job.

## Common questions

### Do I need to add every location as a company?

No. Use multiple stores for locations within one company. Separate companies can have their own stores.

### Does adding a store restrict staff access automatically?

Review each user’s store assignments and access role separately. A blank Assigned Stores field means all stores, so creating a location is not a substitute for checking staff access.
